"Port Lincoln RSL Sub Branch"

Welcomes you to commemorate 100 years of ANZACS

Commemorating on April 25th

Australians recognise 25 April as an occasion of national remembrance, which takes two forms. Commemorative services are held at dawn – the time of the original landing  at Gallipoli – across the nation.  Later in the day, ex-servicemen and women meet to take part in marches through the major cities and in many smaller centres.

Remembrance Day

Sunday 11 November 2018

This year 11 November marks the 100th anniversary of the Armistice which ended the First World War (1914–18). Each year on this day Australians observe one minute’s silence at 11 am, in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.

We encourage you to attend the Remembrance Day National Ceremony at the Port Lincoln War Memorial, Cnr Lincoln & Flinders Highway.

Vietnam Veterans Day

Vietnam Veterans Day 18 August

Vietnam Veterans Day is commemorated on 18 August every year. A Memorial Service will be held in the RSL Hall.

The day was originally known as Long Tan Day, chosen to commemorate the men of D Company, 6RAR who fought in the battle of Long Tan in 1966.
